Should Women Be Allowed to Play in the NBA?

David Stern, commissioner of the NBA, was quoted over the weekend as stating that he believes women will play in the NBA. When questioned, he said

"Sure," he said matter-of-factly. "I think that's well within the range of probability."

What's your opinion on this one? Personally, I think that if a girl can compete with the guys, why not. BUT, being able to compete at that level is going to be a big challenge for any girl.

These guys play a whole different level of ball than the women's game. If you had the female version of someone like Eddie House - who comes in primarily to drop 3's - that might work. But, what about defense?

Imagine a defensive switch where a girl ends up on, say, Shaq. How's that going to end? Probably not well for the defense.
